Rising from the Morgue

My husband is a world-class neurosurgeon, but he made one fatal medical error: he declared me dead while I was still listening. As I lay paralyzed on a morgue slab, feeling the bite of the freezer air, I heard Jack whispering to his mistress about my inheritance and the "tragedy" of my accident. He thought he’d scrubbed me away like a surgical stain, but a heartbeat he couldn't kill brought me back from the brink. Now, I’m playing the part of the devoted, recovering wife, waiting for the perfect moment to show Jack that the only thing more dangerous than a man with a scalpel is a woman who has already felt the chill of the body bag.
