FAQ
What wallet or coin should I use to pay?
We currently accept a wide range of stablecoins (primarily USDT and USDC, plus others like DAI or PYUSD) across multiple networks, including Tron (TRC-20), Solana, and many EVM-compatible chains (such as Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, etc.). Popular wallets include MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Ledger, and many others. Just scan the QR code or copy the deposit address we generate for you, send your chosen coin(s), and your balance will update automatically once confirmed.
For author payouts, however, we require USDC on the Polygon (POL) network to keep things simple and low-friction for everyone.
If you have any questions, just send us an email — we’re always here to help!
Why cryptos and not Stripe?
We chose stablecoins throughout the site because stablecoins are pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, eliminating price volatility risk while keeping payments predictable and trustworthy. It lets authors receive funds quickly and directly into their wallets—anywhere in the world—with transaction fees often under a cent, even for very small amounts. Traditional processors like Stripe usually charge 2–5%+ (plus fixed fees, currency conversion, or cross-border costs), which eats heavily into micro-payments and creates barriers for creators in many regions. Beyond cost and speed, using USDC also removes the constant burden of credit card fraud monitoring, chargebacks, and related disputes that can overwhelm and distract a small team or website. This lets us focus on building and supporting creators instead of fighting payment-system friction. It’s both a practical efficiency choice and a small experiment in more open, creator-friendly payments.
What are the referral benefits and how do I get them?
We’ve made referrals as simple and frictionless as possible — there’s no sign-up or special action required. Just share your permanent personal referral link, which you can find near the bottom of every book’s introduction page. Whenever a new user subscribes using your link, it’s automatically recorded as a successful referral and you start earning benefits.
- If you’re on the free tier, you receive 3 days of premium access for each successful referral. During this time you can read any book just like a paying subscriber. These 3-day periods stack — the more people who subscribe through your link, the more premium days you accumulate.
- If you’re a paying subscriber, you earn ~20% of the referred user’s subscription fees back in the form of account credits, which you can use toward future payments or other perks.
That’s it — just share your link and let the benefits add up automatically!
How does subscription auto-renewal work? Will you be able to take money from my wallet without my approval in the future?
Our subscription auto-renewal works only by charging from your existing account balance in credits — never directly from your crypto wallet. All crypto-related transactions (including any top-ups to add credits) are one-time only and always require your manual confirmation in your wallet each time you initiate them. This means we cannot — and will not — pull any funds from your wallet without your explicit approval for every single transaction. Auto-renewal simply uses whatever credits you already have in your account; if there aren’t enough credits to cover the renewal, it simply won’t go through until you add more. Your wallet stays fully under your control at all times.
What should I do if my wallet says the order is pending or shows a wrong amount?
Crypto wallets sometimes have temporary UI glitches that can show a pending status for longer than expected or display an incorrect amount. In almost all cases, simply closing and reopening your wallet app (or refreshing the wallet page if you're using a browser extension) resolves the issue and shows the correct, up-to-date information. Don’t worry — we only ever charge and process the exact amount you reviewed and confirmed during the transaction. If the problem persists after a refresh or you see something that still looks off, feel free to send us a screenshot or transaction details and we’ll check it for you right away.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You can manage or cancel from this page.
